1. What is ICT strategy?The national ICT strategy or ICT policy is generally a set of guidelines that define the infrastructure, development, implementation and usage of ICT in a country. It covers these 3 technologies (not limited to): telecommunications, broadcasting (radio and TV) and the Internet.

Introduction to ICT Strategy in Japan:The 'IT Strategy Headquarters' was established in 2001 under the leadership of former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to implement a new national strategy called 'E-Japan' for IT-driven growth. U-Japan came in 2006 with the 'IT New Reform Strategy' whose ultimate goal is to realise a self-sustaining 'ubiquitous network society' by 2010. |
