Timeslots

Students are to ballot for tutorial classes located at their own Hall of residence

  • There are a wide variety of timeslots to choose from (you may search for the modules here).
  • Tutorial registration will be done in Tutorial Iteration 1. Students are to note that this Round begins 1 week earlier than tutorial registration for the majority of other modules. Please refer to online CORS schedule.

Important Notice

Students are highly encouraged to ballot for tutorial slots located at their own Hall of residence. Students should ballot for slots located at other Halls (in Round 1B) only if their timetable does not permit selecting slots located at their Hall of residence due to timetable clash. Please refer to next section below for more details.

Rounds 1A & 1B

  • In Round 1A, students will be restricted to ballot for tutorial slots located at their own Hall of residence. This is to ensure that priority is given to students residing in that particular Hall. In CORS, you may view and ballot for the available slots located at other Halls but your ballot will not be successful.
  • In Round 1B, you may ballot for any available tutorial slots, even those located at other Halls. However, we still encourage students to ballot for tutorial slots located at their own Hall of residence.
  • In both rounds (1A & 1B), a quota is set for students from different Faculties and Nationalities, to ensure a diversity of students in each tutorial class.
  • Quota is available at Tutorial Balloting reports
  • Students will be divided into two groups by faculty:

    Science & Technology (S&T)

    Humanities & Social Sciences (H&SS)

Faculty of Engineering (including Computer Eng.)

Faculty of Arts & Social Science (including Env. Geo.)

Faculty of Science (including Pharmacy & Env. Bio.)

    School of Business

    School of Computing

    School of Design & Environment

Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music

Add/Drop/Swap

  • Add/Drop/Swap is on first-come-first-served basis. You may refer to the CORS Briefing Slides for Freshmen.
  • If CORS does not swap your tutorial by the end of the Add/Drop/Swap Round, it means your swap request was unsuccessful.

Manual Registration

Students who do not secure a tutorial timeslot after all the balloting rounds are required to come down physically for a manual registration process. The details for manual registration will be communicated to students via NUS email.

Students who are not pre-allocated with any slots by the end of manual registration will be pre-allocated a slot on random basis

  • No labels
