The process to enable Learning Flow are as follows:
- Click the module card from the landing page, you will be brought to the module page.
- Click ENABLE LEARNING FLOW button that you can find on the right hand side.
Note: The ENABLE LEARNING FLOW button only appears on a newly created module or on a module where Learning Flow is disabled. If you cannot see this button that means Learning Flow is already enabled.
- Select the format of your Learning Flow*.
For format following NUS Academic Calendar, the additional options that you need to decide on are to auto-populate the timetable events and whether to reveal the weeks according to the calendar or all at once.
Note: You need to make the changes to the timetable events in Learning flow if there is any timetable changes after that.
For free-format, the additional option that you need to specify is the number of topic.
- Click DONE.
Once you have enabled Learning Flow, you will see that ENABLE LEARNING FLOW button is now replaced with other options and the week / topic header will appear.
Should I choose NUS Academic Calendar format or Free-Format?
There is no right or wrong answer in this. It all depends on the module’s requirement.
When you choose Free-Format / by topic, you can still specify the period / duration in which that topic will be taught / learned.
When you choose NUS Academic calendar format, weeks such as recess, reading week, examination week will be indicated in the header. All your scheduled events such as lecture, exams, will also be automatically added into the weeks. These events will not be able to remove.
If you are unsure which format to use, the recommendation is to choose NUS Academic year since this will likely feel more familiar to you.
