Initial submissions

The originality report is usually ready within minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours for Turnitin to generate.

You may also want to check with your instructor if he/she allows students to access the report after submission.

Resubmissions

Some instructors allow resubmissions.

Papers that have been resubmitted have a waiting period of 24-hours before they are processed i.e. the earliest you will receive a revised report is 24 hours later.

If you resubmit a paper less than 24 hours before your deadline, you will not receive the revised originality report before the deadline.

 

DO NOT REQUEST FOR PAPER DELETION


If you have not received a report for either case above,
do not ask your instructor to delete the paper nor delete the paper yourself (if applicable).

If you do so and then resubmit, a new paper will be created. It may be flagged as similar to your initial submission.

This will cause alarm, but it is not an issue if you can show you submitted both papers. Refer to:
