IVLE Workspace

After you login to IVLE, you should see a screen similar to the one below. There are two horizontal menu bars and three vertical columns.

There are two main menubars and four main columns:

1. The top menu bar contains links to IVLE Home1 , NUS Email, Search, Support and Log Out2 .

2. The main menu bar links to the Workspace3 , Tools, Profile, Resource Banks, Communities and Usage.

5. Bottom Center Column

6. Right Column

The left column gives you to access variousIVLE tools.

My Organizer, a built-in calendar which provides you with a daily, weekly, monthly event summary.

You can find out about the latest happenings on campus via Student Events

You can view five most important message by click to toggle message display.

The center column consists of three tabs.

The Modules Tab, displayed by default, shows all the modules that you are taking. You can click on the respective Module(s) to view the module outline.

The Bookmarks Tab shows all the modules that you have bookmarked for reference, using the Search&Bookmark Modules tool.

The Communities Tab lists any IVLE Communities to which you belong.

The right column links to various services, including My Integrated Student Information System (ISIS), Online Training, Student Service Centre, as well as Resources, NUS Libraries, NUSSU Welfare Forum.

If you have unread messages from contacts or unread announcements, you will see this floating toolbar, indicating the number of unread messages and announcements:

In example above, there are 0 unread messages and 9 new announcement.

The Workspace is where you get an overview of all the modules and tools. You can also access various resource banks: reusable content which is used for certain tools. Besides IVLE features, you can access various communities, resources and other services in NUS.
