IVLE Communities - Create Community

Important

To create a Community, you must agree to the following:

  1. The Community Owner shall be solely responsible for materials uploaded to the folder.
  2. The Community Owner must adhere to and ensure adherence to the NUS Acceptable Use Policy for IT Resources.
  3. Community owners and members should not upload copyrighted materials without permission from the copyright owner.

To get started in creating a IVLE Community, you will need:

  1. A Community Name
  2. A brief Description for the community so that other users can understand what this community is about.
  3. If this community is Accessible to Everyone (allow any NUS student to apply to join) or only to selected members which you decide when you create the community.
  4. All communities come with a standard set of tools. By default, we provide you with a discussion forum and a document exchange repository (called a workbin).
  5. Choose a category where this community will belong to. This is to allow for easier searching.
  6. A customized tag created by you that will allow other to search for your community.
