This is the home page for the CriticalQuestions Wiki space.

The only active course this semester is MUL 2101 Critical Thinking for Musicians.

Choose a non-music topic that we are not covering in this class. See the Syllabus and the week 1 blog for ideas already discussed. It is also possible for you to choose a topic that we covered in week 3 ("How to become a famous classical musician") if covered in a scholarly manner.

TOPICS: Greg must approve all topics. Topics that do not have PERSONAL AND PRACTICAL application for each member of the group will be rejected. Your topic should be narrow enough that it can be covered thoroughly in 2,500-3,500 words of scholarly writing. Each member of the group must contribute at least 500 words of writing.

GROUP MEMBERS: You may work with anyone in Critical Thinking for Musicians. You need not stay within your section.  However, everyone must be available to come to the same section for the group project presentation the last week of class; your group agreement must be specify which section everyone can attend.

GROUP AGREEMENTS: A topic is not be considered approved until the group aggreement has been accepted. For a group agreement to be accepted, each section of the form must be completed in detail, including the research and writing assigned to each person and regular deadlines. Once a group agreement has been accepted, the group members and their topic will be posted below.
